Distant Worlds: Music from Finial Fantasy

That was F'ing sweet! Four words that pretty much sum it up.

If you've ever played one of the finial fantasy games, you know what I'm talking about. The music for each game is as masterful as the game itself. Music, composed by famed composer, Nobuo Uematsu; that seems to reach into your soul and draw out emotions you never thought you could have.

Picture your self in a symphony hall, lit only by stage lights. A giant screen over the orchestra, with video of your favorite scenes from every game in the series. Your ears tickled by the sound of emotional music driving the hair on the back of your neck to stand at attention. Now hold that thought for two and a half hours.

You've just experienced a fraction of "Distant Worlds: Music from Finial Fantasy." On hand in the performing hall we had Nobuo Uematsu him self. One of only two performances he will be attending in the states all year. Grammy Award Winner, conductor Arnie Roth. Well known for his work in video game music. Susan Calloway, a local artist who's beautiful voice graced the title track on the CD. All of that talent, with other local Opera singers, chorus and orchestra members brought to life one of the most incredible music scores of all time.

It was a memorable experience for me to say the least. I hope that if any of you get the chance to go see one of these shows, you jump on it. It's well, well worth your money and time.

My Note on this :) GO SEE/Listen To it.  www.ffdistantworlds.com.  This concert ranks very high on my list of all time best concerts I've been to.  Let's just say this... I am VERY netorious for listening to mostly/only music that could make ones ears bleed easily and have never been to a symphony out of principle but this one stunned and amazed me beyond belief, I would pay to go see it again possibly down in Detroit in June. -- Hawk sorry about the Hijack :P you didn't make comments avail to it.

New Site login

Hi all! For those of you who were imported into our new system, you must use the forgot password feature before you sign in the first time. This is because the passwords from the old site did not import correctly into the new system.

AnimeSanction gets facelift!

Welcome to the new and improved AnimeSanction! Over the course of the past couple weeks we have reinvented how AnimeSanction is viewed and used. As you can see it's completely different. We are now using Joomla! as our CMS package with Kunena as our forum system. These two packages work hand in hand with each other providing seamless integration of users, activity and menus. This allows for kick ass usability not seen for years here.

  So what is new:

Articles - We will be inviting the public to write reviews on Anime, Manga, Games, Hardware and Software. Writing articles is a great way to express your opinions about things. Your opinion matters here at AnimeSanction and we want to give you every way possible to express it.

News - Keeping up on the latest news from all of the best websites used to be a pain. You would browse from one site to the next getting the article. What if you can glance over the RSS feeds of those sites in one place? With AnimeSanction you CAN! You can glance over the current news of the day, from the hottest anime sites, and choose to read the ones you want. You can then leave your thoughts behind on that tidbit and read about what other people are thinking.

Gallery – The Gallery has been completely redone. With commenting, rating, and easy uploading this is sure to kick the pants off our old system.

Arcarde – A brand new arcade is here to greet everyone. With hundreds of your favorite games and many new ones you will be hard pressed to be board here. Unfortunately, we have lost all of the scores that were saved from the last arcade, but this may give people a chance to achieve some new heights!

Some stuff has of course stayed the same. The forum posts are all there and all existing users … And that’s about it. :p You will need to upload a new avatar and reset your signatures. Hopefully only a small price to pay for an updated and more functional site!

Some small minor changes may occur for a short while we will be continuing to make small changes to enhance our usability,  or look and feel.
